I just thought I'd let you know that I've been working on your bag. I linked to your pattern from craftster. It is a very cute project. I've done the knitting part. Your pattern has 4 crossovers of the cables, but when I knit this, the bag was so short that I added a few more. In your photo, it appears that there are around 8 repeats of row four.
At any rate it was my first try with cables and they were really easy. I'm actually having problems understanding the ruffles directions. Unfortunately, I picked this bag to learn crochet. and I don't understand the chain stitch rows as you have described them.
I have done one row of the chain stitch loops which is what I think row 3 describes. It seems to me that the next row, row 4, is the chain 6 done 3 separate times and attached each time to something, but I'm not sure what. At any rate, I clearly need more practice at reading patterns. Thanks for posting yours!
you are right about 8 repeat.. i made mistake it should be 8 repeat.. I made some correction on pattern you can download it again to get corrected pattern....Ok about row 4 chain 6, sc in 6 ch loop (from row 3) then chain 6, sc in same 6 ch loop , chain 6, sc in next 6 ch loop
i hope you would understand this instructon about ruffle row 4

I have never tried Cable, it looks so lovely, but I am not sure I am at that level yet to give it a go.
Hmm, the link to download the pattern isn't working for me, is there somewhere else I could get this pattern. I really like the bag. :)
